An exciting new chapter in luxe heritage self contained accommodation
Standing proudly beside the old wharf, a picturesque reminder of the town’s seafaring past, the building now offers guests the chance to experience Stanley’s unique maritime spirit up close.
The two apartments are of the highest quality and are a perfect blend of new and old, where refurbished and repurposed timber, metal and stone take pride of place.
Tasmanian art adorns the walls, artisan lights from Tasmanian ceramicist Ian Clare light the stairwell, local shops were scoured for furniture – old and new, and family pieces from different generations tell the story. In the private courtyard there is a two-person sauna and an outdoor cold shower – if you don’t want to plunge into the sea!
Breakfast provisions are provided for your first morning and a complimentary service for stays of three nights or more.
Wake each morning to sweeping sea views from the light-filled conservatory and deck – the perfect spot for a slow breakfast or an evening glass of wine. Upstairs, the bedroom suite offers a luxurious retreat, with a bathroom featuring a deep bath beneath a skylight so you can soak under the stars.
On arrival, you’ll find a welcome basket with Tasmanian goodies and continental breakfast supplies for your first morning, along with a coffee machine with fresh beans and a curated selection of teas. The spacious living area is made for relaxing, with a crackling wood fire, heat pump, air conditioning and a Smart TV.
Step into the plant-filled courtyard where a sauna awaits, adding a touch of indulgence to your stay. A fully equipped kitchen makes dining in easy, with the added convenience of a washing machine and dryer. Private parking and a complimentary EV charging power point are also available. For longer stays, we’ll service your apartment after the third night of your stay.
