For the Jacobs family, The Bond Store represents the final piece in a decades-long journey of restoring Stanley’s historical buildings – including the 1840s Stanley Hotel on Church Street. Both Julian and Tracey Jacobs are sixth-generation locals, with ancestors Captain John Jacobs and Robert Ferguson arriving in the region in the 1820s and 1840s. Their family’s deep roots in Stanley’s maritime, agricultural and architectural heritage have inspired every element of this project, weaving the past and present into a single timeless experience.
